Canada Green Building Strategy - A Commercial Buildings Roundtable with Abla Hanna - Director General – Office of Energy Efficiency, Natural Resources Canada

ABOUT THIS WEBINAR
Accelerating the pace of deep retrofits in the commercial space. We are proud to bring you this conversation with Natural Resources Canada’s Abla Hanna (Director General, Office of Energy Efficiency) about the Canada Green Buildings Strategy.

To protect our environment and reduce the impacts of climate change, the Government of Canada has committed to reducing Canada’s total GHG emissions to 40 to 45% below 2005 levels by 2030 and to reaching net-zero by 2050. As the buildings sector is the third-largest source of emissions in Canada, prioritizing decarbonization is key to meeting our objectives.

Join us for an informal with the Office of Energy Efficiency at Natural Resources Canada (NRCan).

We want to hear from you about the opportunities and challenges you see in this space. What hurdles are BOMA members facing now? How are they currently addressing these issues? What would they encourage governments to prioritize as levers to invest in, support, and/or amplify?

This special “by invitation only” event is meant to open a new front for BOMA Canada’s engagement and advocacy efforts with the federal government.
