AI is rapidly expanding from the cloud to the everyday objects around us; unlocking a myriad of new use cases from smart shoes to smart cities. As we embed intelligence into more of the everyday objects around us, this raises a number of important questions, such as how should that change our interactions with these objects? How can we deliver AI-powered experiences that are privacy preserving? How can we enable always-on models that run at ultra-low power? How can we support new use cases and novel sensors that lack large high-quality datasets? This talk will address these questions with examples from ambient computing, sports, and healthcare.
