Lauren Vázquez is the Fired Up Lawyer, a corporate cannabis attorney, and social entrepreneur who has worked for two decades to end cannabis prohibition and advance alternatives to the failed war on drugs. She has practiced cannabis business law since 2009 and entered private practice in 2011. Through her advocacy, she has helped shape state and local cannabis policy and has advised numerous cannabis companies and organizations, including many legacy and equity operators.

Lauren has been a Professor at Oaksterdam University since 2011 and is currently Chair of the Legal Department. In 2016, Lauren was a Senior Advisor and the Statewide Outreach Manager for the successful Prop 64 Campaign that legalized cannabis in California. Today, she helps cannabis businesses navigate licensing and regulatory compliance and enjoys helping people achieve their cannabis dreams.
