In this session, we will share how integrating mathematical modeling into K-12 and post-secondary classrooms can change classroom practices and position more students for success. Associate Professor of Mathematics
Dr. Alison Lynch is an Associate Professor of Mathematics at California State University, Monterey Bay (CSUMB). She teaches all levels of undergraduate mathematics courses, and she is passionate about supporting students in the transition from high school to college math. She led significant redesigns of first-year math courses at CSUMB, and she co-developed a 12th-grade high school math course focused on mathematical modeling, problem solving, and applications.

Prior to Desmos, Denise taught middle and high school math, before becoming the Educational Administrator of Mathematics for the Monterey County Office of Education.
