Part of The Leading Edge series: Ideas shaping a better world.
Join entrepreneur, author and TED speaker Margaret Heffernan as she shares insights from her new bestselling book Uncharted: How to Map the Future Together. In this bold and invigorating book, Heffernan explores the people and organizations who aren’t daunted by uncertainty.
Margaret takes an in-depth look at long-term projects developed over generations that could never have been planned the way they have been run. Margaret challenges her audiences to resist the false promises of technology and efficiency and to use our own creativity and humanity to create the future we want.
The author of six books, Margaret was born in Texas and educated at Cambridge University. She produced programmes for the BBC for 13 years before returning to the US to become a highly-acclaimed chief executive. She is a Professor of Practice at the University of Bath, Lead Faculty for the Forward Institute’s Responsible Leadership
