Expert Discussion: Cybersecurity and Container Usage for Avionics at the Intelligent Edge
About
The modernization of avionics systems has moved from hardware-centric systems to more software-centric based systems to bring in more agility uses, upgradeability and newer technology. The use of software container technology has moved from IT enterprise usage to the intelligent edge, such as avionic systems to meet the demand of both commercial and military usage. With the usage of software containers in systems and the network communication to ease transfer and updating of containers comes the need for more cybersecurity protection. Avionics International Editor Woodrow Bellamy leads a discussion with Wind River experts focused on the use of containers in avionic systems and how this technology can be utilized to provide cybersecurity for systems.
