Orhan Bulan received the B.S. degree in electrical and electronics engineering from Bilkent University, Ankara, Turkey, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical and computer engineering from University of Rochester, NY, in 2007 and 2012, respectively. He is currently a Senior Artificial Intelligence Computer Scientist at General Motors and a technical lead for developing machine and deep learning algorithms for map creation for autonomous vehicles. Prior to joining General Motors, he was a research scientist at Palo Alto Research Center, A Xerox Company, in Webster, NY. He holds several patents and scientific publications in machine learning and computer vision domain. He is also a frequent reviewer for several academic journals and conferences.
