Ian Walters is the ACU Communications Director. He is responsible in large part for CPAC’s rise as an important voice for conservatism throughout the past two decades. He met his wife--CPAC & Events Director, Carin Walters--at CPAC 2009. He is the father of two wonderful daughters and is an accomplished working musician.

Recently, Wayne Dupree was invited personally by the White House to talk to President Trump on messaging to the Black Community. During his time within the Conservative movement, which started back in 2007, Dupree was named as a member of Newsmax’s top 50 Influential African-American Republicans for 2017, and in 2016, he was named as a board member of the National Diversity Coalition for Donald Trump. In 2015, Dupree was awarded the coveted American Conservative Union (ACU) CPAC Blogger of the Year award and before that he won the Podcast of the Year Award.
