Silver coatings for connectors and bus bars: from pure silver to silver graphite deposition
About This Webinar
Silver has become an essential metal finish for connectors, switches, busbars, and similar technologies due to its superior conductivity and significantly lower price compared to gold. The silver coatings market offers a variety of solutions, ranging from pure silver to hard silver alloys and silver graphite, but what are the structural differences between them and what are the advantages and disadvantages that they offer?
During this webinar, Bernd Roelfs will provide a definitive answer to this question. He will also discuss contact resistance as it relates to friction coefficients for these coatings and demonstrate their thermal stability along with appropriate post-treatments to prevent tarnishing.
