Thomas Hoenig
Senior Fellow, Mercatus Center at George Mason University
Hoenig is the former president of the Kansas City Federal Reserve and now a Distinguished Senior Fellow at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University. Mr Hoenig was the lone dissenter when the Fed began a then-controversial strategy in 2010 of buying trillions of dollars in bonds to help the economy after the 2007-2009 Great Recession. He has been a sharp critic of the Fed's easy-money policies in the ensuing years.
