Tynisa (Ty) Gaines EA, has a B.S. in Industrial Organizational Psychology from the University of Illinois, and a M.P.A in Public Personnel Management from Troy University. In 2015, Ty received the “EA of the year” award from the Virginia Society of Enrolled Agents (VASEA) and is a past VASEA President. Ty is a current director for the National Association of Enrolled Agents and chairs the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Committee. In 2022, Ty received the “Mentor of the year” award from NAEA. Ty has published numerous tax articles and two e-books, Tax-ish: Teens 1.0 and Tax-ish: Teens 2.0 geared at teens or anyone preparing their first tax return. Ty is a Tax Manager for Token Tax LLC and her niche tax practice areas are military taxpayers and cryptocurrency. She works virtually from Fort Worth, Texas.
