Dr. Melissa Miller is an expert on American politics with a specific focus on elections and voting behavior, women in American politics, public opinion, and the media. She is a Professor of Political Science at Bowling Green State University (BGSU) in Ohio.
Since 2005, Dr. Miller has provided expert analysis for the media during midterm, statewide, and presidential elections. She has appeared in/on CNN, ABC News, Fox News, Al Jazeera, MarketWatch, The New York Times, The Guardian, and The New York Review of Books, among others. Since 2020 Dr. Miller has served as on-air Political Analyst for 13abc Action News in Toledo.
Dr. Miller’s research on American politics appears in Public Opinion Quarterly, Political Research Quarterly, Politics & Gender, American Politics Research, and PS: Political Science and Politics, among others.
Dr. Miller holds an A.B. from Cornell University, a Master’s in Public Policy from Harvard University, and a Ph.D. in Political Science from Northwestern University.
