ABOUT THIS WEBINAR
Do you feel slightly unprepared when you have a client who is looking for nutrition help and needs support that will allow them to integrate their cultural practices, foods and traditions? South Asian Canadians in Metro Vancouver are the third-largest ethnic group in the region, comprising more than 12% of the total population(from 2016 data).
Some examples of the requests we get from clients include :
-"I am looking for registered dietitian services, who can help me with weight loss and nutrition. Also someone can make my meal plan with regular Indian foods.
-"Need some assistance for my parents, they are heart patients and have some other issues with kidneys. Hoping you could assist in putting a healthy diet together that includes both Indian and western foods."
-"I’m interested in guidance to manage my diabetes and help in Indian cooking. I'm also a vegetarian"
