Leasehold Question Time: Alterations and Duval

The Duval decision handed down in May 2020 continues to impact on what can and cannot be done when doing works to residential leasehold property, particularly where the lease contains absolute restrictions.
In our next Leasehold Question Time, we will look at the issue of conversions, improvements and alterations, and the matter of consent. We will consider absolute bans and “qualified” restrictions, “demised premises” and the challenges faced when an inconsistent approach to identical works appears to be in play.
This one-hour session, hosted by our Senior Partner, Mark Chick, will offer the opportunity for Q&A.
