    Deniss has gained experience in a lot of projects related to logistics, transport and maritime e.g. Port community, SafeSeaNet, ANNA, SKLOIS, Port Integration, e-freight, “e-Maritime Strategic Framework and Simulation based Validation” etc. He also has organised coordination work with government institutions electronic systems' implementation in real life. Deniss has contributed to organizing and leading various meetings, working groups, and lectures on several projects' implementation and EU Directive requirements into Latvian legislation.

    Jillian Carson-Jackson FNI FRIN commenced her career in the Canadian Coast Guard, graduating from the Canadian Coast Guard College as a navigation officer. With over three decades in the industry, Jillian has worked both afloat and ashore in the CCG, including 10 years as an instructor at the CCGC. Following an active role at IALA in the development of VTS Training, she moved to France to work with IALA as Technical Coordination Manager. She then moved to Australia to work with the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) as Manager of Vessel Traffic and Pilotage Services.In 2016 Jillian left AMSA to set up her own consultancy, focusing on maritime technical advice and education. In May 2020 Jillian was appointed a Director of GlobalMET. Jillian represents The Nautical Institute at IALA as chair of the Emerging Digital Technologies Working Group (ENAV Committee) and the Personnel and Training Working Group (VTS Committee).

    Mira Juola heads the Port of Oulu’s PORT OULU Smarter. -digitalisation project, focused on developing and utilizing modern digitalisation in the port. Multiple actors in the port will collaborate to form a new type of data platform, collecting information about port functions, traffic streams and situational awareness. The new digital services and local connectivity capabilities created as part of the project will provide a competitive edge for port actors and customers alike. Juola guides the Port of Oulu's digital community with her experience gained in extensive system and BI analytics projects.

Then I've been working for almost 10 years at a bank, where the job was more software oriented. One year ago I switched to the port authority of Antwerp. The team I’m responsible for is responsible for the digital infrastructure (WIred/Wireless network, nautical communication, IOT, workplace infrastructure, …). One year ago i thought that 5G = 4G+1, now i know better
