Soren Vinther Hansen

Soren is currently consultant working in own performance analysis company. He has previously worked as COO for Vessel Performance Solutions. Has worked for ABS as Assistant Director for Vessel Performance and headed the Vessel Performance Services for the Advisory Services in ABS. Has worked as a Vessel Performance Specialist in A.P. Moller-Maersk, Propulsion Dynamics and Principia North and was for a period Associate Professor at Svendborg International Maritime Academy (SIMAC) where focus was on Nautical Operations and Safety. Has operational experience from a long career as a Master Mariner with various Shipping Companies in Denmark. He has a PhD degree in Naval Architecture from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) and also holds a MSc degree in Marine Technology from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU).

Frank started his career in Athens, working for two established ship owners. In 2009 he joined Bernhard Schulte’s ship-owning arm in Hamburg, working up to the position of Technical Manager, supervising the fleet’s technical operations. Apart from newbuilding projects, he worked heavily towards introducing measures to improve the fleet’s fuel consumption and energy management through a series of design modifications and retrofit installations.

Aaron Holton is Vice President at NAVTOR, where he supports a range of strategic digitalization initiatives through the company’s e-Navigation and performance portfolio. Aaron was previously the CEO of Tres Solutions, which was acquired by NAVTOR in 2021. He spent the early part of his career as a management consultant with Charles River Associates and PacWest Consulting Partners (acquired by IHSMarkit in 2014), where he delivered projects in the areas of strategy analysis and formation, big data and advanced analytics, operations and implementation and organizational development. Aaron has authored numerous articles on performance strategies and the importance of data centralization and analytics to improve organizational efficiency and support ESG initiatives. He has a Finance degree from The University of Texas at Austin.

Joining Bogerd Martin in 2014 taking a supportive role in the development team of Chart Track software, he was responsible for company internal and customer service technical support, the development of internal and external documentation and played a key role in the decision making process of front end user interface development.

Having spent several years in the company fulfilling these tasks, Nelson was adopted into the main corporate structure of Bogerd Martin, firstly getting to know the ins and outs of the operational processes for digital licensing services.

After a short while, he was tasked with completely restructuring the company’s technical knowledge base for internal applications and end user applications.

Since then, Nelson has taken on an increasing number of responsibilities, being involved in all outward facing communications to customers, suppliers and development partners.

He is currently appointed Head of Innovations, Technology and Support and vets all externally developed solutions before they are introduced to Bogerd Martins product range. and executions and personal follow up of key accounts that adopt new technologies offered by Bogerd Martin are some of the responsibilities Nelson is currently tasked with.

Prior to Nautilus, as a former master mariner, as a senior executive, he commercially operated institutional-sized fleets and was later Chief Digital Officer at a leading tanker operator, focusing on digital transformation and fuel efficiency. Jan currently resides in London, UK.
