Flour fortification, the practice of deliberately increasing content of essential micronutrients in flour, is a cost-effective way to tackle malnutrition and related health challenges without having to change dietary habits.
More than two billion people are currently deficient in one or more nutrients in both developed and developing countries (FAO). With flour fortification, flour millers play an essential part to tackle these malnutrition and other related health challenges together with a diverse network of stakeholders.
