In October 2023, the World Wide Web consortium (W3C) published an updated to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). These guidelines form the basis of good practice and regulation across the world to support users with impairments to have fair and equivalent access to digital content.

In this webinar, Bunnyfoot’s expert accessibility team will run through the new criteria to conform with the new guidelines and contextualise them to the work we do as UX researchers, designers, content providers and product owners.

Louise is a highly experienced digital communications professional who has spent over 15 years working on both private and public sector digital projects. She holds a BA in Social Anthropology & Politics and Government and BSc in Physiotherapy and also works as a registered clinical physiotherapist here in the UK.

In addition to extensive experience in design, research and delivery of user-oriented digital services and content, Louise has delivered accessibility evaluations and insights for a wider range of clients including Microsoft, HSBC, Ofsted, Coca-Cola, Unilever, Natwest, and many more. Louise has a passion for wellbeing in digital environments. Her insights into the physiological nature of stress and the digital experience are foundational to her approach to usability design in emerging technology and social systems and it’s her ambition to share this knowledge and work with others to build an inclusive, sustainable and healthy digital future.

John has over 25 years’ experience in usability, accessibility, eCommerce, digital marketing and human-centred design.

John has studied and practised many UX methodologies including interaction design, usability testing, expert evaluation, accessibility auditing, evaluation and testing, card sorting, user interviews and ethnographic research, and he is experienced in stakeholder engagement.

His client-side background means that he understands many of the challenges that eCommerce and digital marketing teams face when trying to create great user experiences.

John is Head of Accessibility at Bunnyfoot; as well as supporting and advising clients and colleagues on how to improve the accessibility of their products and services, he has authored and delivers our course on Practical Accessibility, which covers the basics – from what we mean by accessibility and why we should be thinking about it, through to how to design and test websites and apps for accessibility.

John also delivers Bunnyfoot’s Certified Professional for Usability & User Experience (CPUX-F) course. He is a Personal Member of the UXQB (the qualifications board responsible for the CPUX-F course), an active member of several UXQB curricula working groups, and chairs the organisation’s Accessibility working group. He contributed significantly to the current CPUX-F course curriculum, as well as writing a number of the public test questions.
