Chris has extensive knowledge of the Canadian CAD/BIM landscape in the Institutional, Commercial, & Light-Industrial sectors. His experience includes work with Mechanical & Electrical Consultants in both Australia & Ontario, a number of Ontario based Constructors & Subtrades, and for the last 9 years Modern Niagara. Chris has acted as an Interference/CAD/Model manager, drafter or modeler on more than $4.5B of construction; and BIM estimation & strategy on +$3B. He enjoys leading and mentoring project teams that strive to get ahead of the critical path so that all parties are able to maximize profitability, productivity & creativity. Chris is a past Subtrade Committee Chair for CANBIM
Chris received a Mechanical Engineering & Management Degree from McMaster University.
Drawing on his 20+ years of experience in architecture, engineering, and construction, Carl shares a practical and well-rounded understanding of BIM with clients. He has worked in residential and commercial architecture, as well as construction, with 10 years of teaching experience at both the collegiate and industry level. This experience aids him in providing the business case for BIM and how it makes the most of collaboration, coordination, design tools, and processes.
Through implementations, instruction, mentoring, webinars, and global speaking engagements, Carl assists the AECO community with the adoption of design technology and BIM processes.
