Joe DiStefano is CEO & Co-Founder of UrbanFootprint. Joe leverages almost 25 years of global experience in urban planning, mobility, and disaster response and recovery. His career has focused on the implementation of actionable, data-driven tools that bring critical information to land use planning decisions, energy and water resource choices, and the environmental, public health, and social equity challenges of our times. Joe has presented extensively across the U.S. and abroad on sustainable urban planning, mobility, resilience and disaster recovery.
Korey Patty
Executive Director
Feeding Louisiana Executive Director Korey Patty joined the state association of food banks in 2017 with years of experience in business and economic development, public policy, and advocacy. Previously at Louisiana Economic Development, Korey represented the State of Louisiana in targeting business development opportunities to diversify Louisiana’s economic portfolio. Prior to LED, Korey worked on behalf of clients across a variety of industries managing advocacy efforts and policy proposals for Southern Strategy Group. During this time, he was appointed by Governor Bobby Jindal to serve on the Louisiana Healthcare Commission. A native of Baton Rouge, LA, Korey is an alum of the University of Tulsa, where he earned a B.S. in marketing, and later completed an M.B.A. at Louisiana State University.
Candice Myers, Ph.D.
Assistant Professor & Director, Social Determinants and Health Disparities Lab at Pennington Biomedical Research Center
Dr. Myers is director of the Social Determinants and Health Disparities Laboratory. Her research currently focuses on food insecurity as a key social determinant of health and source of health disparities, with a specific focus on its complex relationship with obesity and cardiovascular health. Dr. Myers also studies the impact of place on health disparities and intervention response using multilevel theories and methodologies. She also has extensive research expertise in spatially modeling geographic disparities in obesity and diabetes prevalence across the United States.
Jessica McKelvie Kemp, Ph.D.

Jessica is responsible for advancing CPEX’s mission by developing and supporting strategic direction for programs, policies, advocacy and civic engagement initiatives dedicated to meeting planning needs at the neighborhood, municipal, parish, state and regional scales. CPEX provides planning services that prioritize equity and inclusiveness, resilience and environmental sustainability, reduction of health disparities, and cultural placemaking.
