    Director - QIAMS
    Mr. S. Anwar began his career as a freelance Journalist and photographer, working with 'Aside', a Chennai based fortnightly. He has photographed for a number of magazines and newspapers and also books, including the pictorial book, ‘Raj Bhavans of Tamil Nadu’ – The official residence of the Governor of Tamil Nadu. He was producer of the Hathway Networks C News. He was commissioned by the Archaeological Survey of India to make a series of short films on the Big Temple at Thanjavur, made in commemoration of the 1000th year celebrations of the famous World Heritage Monument. His documentary film, ‘Yaadhum’(All), won several awards, including the Bronze Remi award at the 48th WorldFest Houston International Film Festival, USA. He writes for various newspapers and magazines, and a regular column for a national daily.

    Prof. Nagaraj Neerchal
    Vice Chancellor - Chinmaya Vishwavidyapeeth
    Dr. Nagaraj Neerchal from the University of Maryland, Baltimore Country (UMBC), USA assumed office as Vice Chancellor of Chinmaya Vishwavidyapeeth on 4 August 2019.

    At UMBC, Dr. Neerchal is a Professor and Graduate Programme Director for Statistics. He is also the Director of the Center for Interdisciplinary Consulting and Research (of which he is also the co-founder) in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics. He was the Chair of the department from 2006 to 2015. With a Ph.D. in Statistics from Iowa State University, USA, Prof. Neerchal's research and publications encompass theory and applications of statistics in a broad range of disciplines including transportation, environment and ecology, pharmacology and high-performance computing.

    Prof. Neerchal, in his academic career, has served in different roles in academic committees, professional bodies and state and federal government committees. He has guided several Ph.D. and master’s students and has many publications to his credit including three books. He has won numerous awards including the University of Maryland Board of Regents Award for Innovation and Excellence, the Kauffman Entrepreneurship Fellowship and the Distinguished Achievement Award from the American Statistical Association.

    Dr. Karunakaran has done his PhD in Chemistry (Full Time) from Annamalai University in 1993. He has 27 years of experience in Teaching, Research & Administrative. He has published 68 Research Journals in 32 Conferences. Dr. Karunakaran has published 6 books. He has trained in 50+ programmes. Dr. Karunakaran is MHRD’s LEAP participant. He has been a Academic Council Member for Four Colleges and Governing Council Member for Two Colleges. Dr. Karunakaran has been former Principal & Secretary of Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science & Board of Studies Member of Bharathiar University.
