About This Webinar

The Union Cabinet approved the new National Education Policy (NEP). It is the center of discussion and all higher education institutes want to understand what lies ahead. Hence, we are conducting an online panel discussion - 'Collegedunia Connect' to bring the stalwarts of Higher Education together on one platform, wherein we would want to discuss how the new policy is going to shape the future of Education in India.

Agenda
  • NEP 2020 aims to increase the Gross Enrolment Ratio in higher education from 26.3% to 50% by 2035
  • At least 3.5 crore new seats will be added to higher education institutions
  • The new policy aims for “broad-based, flexible learning”, institutions to focus on becoming multidisciplinary by 2030
  • Pursuing a Ph.D. will now require either a Master’s degree or a four-year Bachelor’s degree with research
  • National Educational Technology Forum (NETF) to ramp up digital learning
  • World’s top 100 foreign universities will be “facilitated” to operate in India
  • All higher education institutions, except legal and medical, to be governed by Higher Education Council of India (HECI)

For several years he has taught subjects like Innovation & Creativity, Information Systems and Operation Management to students globally. He has published more than twenty research papers and articles in journals of great repute. He has worked with agencies like NAAC, India and QS, Singapore to enhance the quality of Higher education.

    Vice Chancellor (I/C) of Symbiois Skills and Professional University, Pune.
    Dr. Manimala Puri is M. Tech from NIT Kurushetra & Ph. D from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi. She has over 30 years of experience in Strategic Planning, Academic Operations, Brand building , Teaching, Tutoring and General Administration, and was deputed as Director, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). She is an expert member of peer committee of National Board of Accreditation (NBA) Delhi. She is also author of several books and has published papers in Engineering and Management

    Capt. Raj Razdan
    ProVost of Tolani Maritime Institute
    Capt Raj Razdan has over 45 years of operational and administrative experience in leadership roles. He served in Indian Navy for over 23 years in Executive Branch and specialized in Anti-Submarine Warfare . He played key role in commissioning of second aircraft carrier “Viraat” and has commanded a Leander Class frigate .
    He also hold Masters of Management degree and has been active in College administration and teaching at Tolani maritime Institute, Pune since 1999. Earlier he was Dean and since 2008 , is Provost of TMI.
