Orthopaedic Surgeon
Nicholas Scarcella, MD is an orthopaedic surgeon in the Orthopaedic and Rheumatologic Institute at the Cleveland Clinic.

Dr. Scarcella specializes in hip and knee surgery. Specifically around the knee, he performs partial and total knee replacement as well as complex and revision arthroplasty. Similarly, he performs both anterior-based hip replacement surgery and posterior, as well as complex and revision hip arthroplasty. He also uses robotic-assisted techniques for both hip and knee surgery.

Physician Assistant, Cleveland Clinic
Pawel Samplawski is a physician assistant at Cleveland Clinic working alongside Dr. Nicholas Scarcella. Originally born in Poland, he has been a Cleveland native for the past 25 years. Pawel obtained his Bachelors of Science from Cleveland State University and Master's Degree from Baldwin Wallace University.
Upon graduating from PA school in 2019, Pawel began working in Orthopedic Surgery with a specialty in Adult Reconstruction, and then transitioned to a pure surgical role with a major emphasis on Adult Reconstruction at Lutheran Hospital, which eventually led to his current position at Cleveland Clinic Medina growing an Adult Reconstruction practice with Dr. Nicholas Scarcella. They have an emphasis on primary partial and total joint arthroplasty as well complex revision arthroplasty.
