    Shoko Naruo provides trademark counseling and enforcement services to help companies protect their brands globally. She has successfully registered and enforced trademarks in nearly 200 countries. Shoko specializes in negotiating and drafting intellectual property-related contracts, and also offers guidance on domain name disputes, copyright issues, and infringement matters. She has extensive experience advising companies in manufacturing, food, agriculture, hospitality, and cannabis industries on trademark and other IP issues. Shoko, a native Japanese speaker fluent in English, also assists Japanese clients with business and legal matters and serves as the co-chair for the Thompson Coburn's Asian American affinity group.

    Michael Parks is a co-chair of Thompson Coburn’s Intellectual Property practice group, chair of the firm’s Technology Committee, and member of the firm’s AI task force. He is a frequent presenter on topics related to both the concerns and positive aspects of integrating use of AI into the legal and business arena. Michael is a registered patent attorney, and he specializes in patent, trademark, and copyright law, representing clients in federal courts across the United States in a wide variety of IP cases. He has an electrical engineering background and extensive experience litigating patents in various technical fields, including artificial intelligence and software-based technologies. Michael also handles trademark litigation, counseling, prosecution, and adversarial proceedings within the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
