(METAVERSE 2024) Empirical Study on User Acceptance and Optimization Strategies of AIGC News

In today's digital era, the rapid development of intelligent media, constantly squeezing the survival space of traditional media. The wide application of In-ternet technology and digital technology in the news industry has subverted the traditional news dissemination mode, and the identity of news readers has completed the metamorphosis from the passive "audience" to the active choice of "users". This study focuses on the user acceptance of AIGC news, not only studying the overall user acceptance of AIGC news, but also trying to analyse the impact of users' demographically characteristics on the ac-ceptance of AIGC news. At the same time, this study also explores the ex-pectations and concerns of users for AIGC news, considers the advantages and shortcomings of current AIGC news, and tries to propose targeted opti-mization strategies. Based on the relevant theories of previous scholars and the current situation of AIGC news, this study designed a questionnaire and used SPSS software to collate and analyse the data. It is found that the over-all acceptance of AIGC news is high, and the overall acceptance of AIGC news is little affected by demographic factors; in addition, users are con-cerned about the authenticity of AIGC news, which is affected by copyright factors; and the preference of AIGC news types shows significant differ-ences. Finally, this study also tries to propose optimization strategies for the problems of AIGC news from the perspectives of enhancing the credibility of AIGC news, optimizing the user experience of AIGC news and strengthen-ing the copyright protection of AIGC news.
