From championing the rights of international students across Australia, to supporting asylum seekers and people seeking refugees and counselling at-risk youth at headspace, Varsha has been heavily invested in building up various communities. With the strong belief of education and research as a gateway to reducing social inequality, Varsha’s educational background is one that is multidisciplinary. From doing a double major in international relations and communications studies, to her honors thesis analyzing terrorist recruitment via social media, a Master of International Development focusing on Gender, Peace and Security and a Master of Counselling. Varsha understands how having a multidisciplinary approach provides a breadth of perspective and ideas to enact social change and is currently putting her knowledge to practice with The Lygon Group as an Education Analyst.

Manfred has a passion for education and has been dynamically involved with the international education community for the past four years. Manfred has become a representative voice and advocate for the education, health and wellbeing of international students connecting with the decision-makers in Canberra.

Appointed as the StudyNT Student Ambassador for three consecutive years and held offices as the VET/TAFE, Undergraduate Officer and Vice-President with the Council of International Students Australia. He was also the Public Relations Officer with CISA which gave him opportunities to collaborate with Technical and Further Education (TAFE) Directors Australia, Independent Tertiary Education Council Australia (ITECA) and the Department of Home Affairs and the Department of Education and Training.

Manfred has expertise in branding and business set-up as well he manages the business day to day and runs his own small business. Manfred calls the Northern Territory is a second home.
