Princeton University has shut down campus visits and tours due to the coronavirus outbreak, and many families are worried about choosing a college without being able to visit in person and get a feel for campus life. In this Q&A session, we'll ask our panel of current Princeton students a series of questions about everything ranging from campus life to athletics to the classroom experience. Webinar attendees will also get to participate in the second half of the Q&A.
Q&A Participants:
Mary Catherine Lorio is a sophomore from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, majoring in physics with a certificate in Engineering and Management Systems. As far as extracurriculars are concerned, she is also an active member of the Women in Physics Group, Business Today, is VP of Recruitment and the social media manager for Pi Beta Phi, and a digital artist for 23 Cubed (a student-ran website development startup). She is passionate about quantum computing and expects to conduct research at Princeton in the field next semester. She is looking forward to meeting you all!
Joel Fong is a sophomore from El Paso, Texas, majoring in the Woodrow Wilson School of International Relations and Public Policy with a certificate (minor) in entrepreneurship. Outside of school work, Joel remains active on campus as an Orange Key Tour Guide, Campus Visit Ambassador, treasurer of Sigma Alpha Epsilon, in addition to being the Director of Mentorship for the El Paso Leadership Network and founding a non-profit organization with the goal of helping disadvantaged students apply to college. Having worked on a senate campaign and been involved in local politics, he hopes to continue work in public service in the coming year. He looks forward to meeting everyone!
Sophia Lewandrowski is a sophomore from Tucson, AZ majoring in Economics with certificates in Applications of Computing and Engineering and Management Systems. On campus, Sophia is a Partner of Tiger Capital Management (Princeton’s only student-run investment fund), Chief Financial Officer for Kappa Alpha Theta, and is an active member of Business Today. Sophia loves the field of Behavioral Economics and the study of decision making an judgement. In her free time she loves knitting with her friends. She is so excited to talk to you about Princeton!
Omar Zakaria is from London, UK. He is a sophomore majoring in Operations Research and Financial Engineering with certificates in Materials Science and Engineering, Entrepreneurship, and Finance. Outside of the classroom, he is an active member of Princeton Arab Society, Wawa United, Princeton Autonomous Vehicle Engineering, and Princeton Data Science.
