Following our recent webinars that examined the complex nature of contact tracing for coronavirus (COVID-19), we move on to focus on escalations and responses. With local lockdowns being implemented across the world due to concerns over rising infection rates, we will be joined by colleagues from Public Health England (PHE) to discuss their Track and Trace programme.
We will also look at the practicalities of escalation criteria including those around complex and high-risk settings, consequence management, liaison with a setting/employer, and increases in disease frequency or severity that may require further investigation locally.
We will contextualise the model by sharing details of the lessons learnt from a cluster of outbreaks at a food processing plant in the South West. Environmental Health Practitioners from Bristol City Council will also be part of the panel to answer questions on their role in managing these outbreaks.
We're also delighted to announce that we will be joined by colleagues from Leicester City Council who will share their experiences of the first UK local lockdown and the lessons learnt.
