Aj Grand-Scrutton is CEO of Dlala Studios. Since founding the studio in 2012, Aj has led the studio strategy and creative vision for Dlala and all its products. He acts as Creative Director and Writer for Dlala’s game projects, where he ensures a cohesive vision is achieved throughout all the teams; alongside his day-to-day responsibilities as the studio CEO. He has previously worked for companies including Bossa Studios and Jagex, in roles such as Lead Client Developer and Game Content Developer.

I've been a 2D animator in character and FX for 19 years, and 9 of those have been spent in game development, and the other 10 on animated shows. I'm a Ghostbusters, Power Rangers, Ninja Turtles, and Samurai Pizza Cats nerd. I'm into collectibles and have a life-size Captain America shield, and Proton Pack.

I illustrate book covers in my spare time for a publisher called Caffeine and Ink, one of which is a horror book series by David J Fielding, who played Zordon on Power Rangers! I super geek out about how I technically have worked for Zordon and got to meet him. I'm also a lifelong gamer and at last, count, have 17 games on the go across Steam, Game Pass, Epic, and G.O.G. My first intro to gaming wasn't Super Mario Bros, but the game City Connection.
