As the return of close contact beauty services are again delayed, the next in our popular series of Covid-Conversations webinars returns to the subject of health and safety. The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has presented many challenges for the workplace, but perhaps none more so than for those providing beauty, personal care, and tattooing services. As business services struggle to reopen, it is critical that employers, employees, the self-employed and clients take steps to keep everyone safe. We look at the unique issues facing this sector, and how we can support it in understanding the risks around coronavirus and responding accordingly.
Our panellists will look at ongoing areas of concern. Drawing on their collective experience, they will debate solutions from policy and regulatory perspectives, as well as sharing insights on current issues and offering practical recommendations and guidance on prevention measures.
Our panel includes: Lesley Blair Chair of BABTAC (British Association of Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology) and CIBTAC (Confederation of International Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology), Sandra Moore, Technical Director at Hygenisys and a Chartered EHP with over 30 years’ experience within the hospitality, spa, leisure and beauty sectors; and Victor Ktorakis, a Chartered EHP at Enfield London Borough Council, Trustee of the Joint Council of Cosmetic Practitioners (JCCP) and member of the London Special Treatments Group. We’ll also be joined by Charlotte Rose; Senior Environmental Health Officer at City of Wolverhampton, Samantha Maxwell, health and safety practitioner and finally, Kizzy Augustin. Kizzy is a partner in the fraud and criminal litigation team, specialising in health and safety at Russell Cooke.
