DHS Annual Acquisition Professionals Training Symposium

The DHS Annual Acquisition Professionals Training Symposium is an important conference of key leaders and acquisition professionals critical to the Department’s acquisition management processes. The purpose of the half-day (virtual only) Annual Acquisition Professionals Training Symposium is to conduct training, exchange information, and facilitate senior leadership engagement with key members of the Department’s acquisition workforce in order to foster a greater sense of unity of effort and purpose. The conference is an opportunity for senior leaders to express their vision and priorities regarding departmental acquisitions and acquisition management practices to the workforce members, who are responsible and accountable for the execution of acquisition activities. The training will focus on ways to help programs improve in the execution of their mission. The day will begin with the Honorary Acquisition Program Management Awards Ceremony to recognize individual and team excellence in acquisition program management.
