ABOUT THIS WEBINAR
The Joint Chemical Engineering Committee (JCEC) Victoria welcomes you join in this discussion on Methodology for assessing CUI risk for Process Vessels.
The Qenos Altona Olefins plant was faced with the task of assessing the corrosion under insulation risk for a large number of process vessels. The site adopted a team based approach to efficiently conduct the assessments. The methodology adopted incorporated process specific contexts to assess the likelihood of a CUI event as well as the consequence. The activity also assisted the Integrity team to modify the inspection scope for upcoming vessel inspections.
The presentation outlines the methodology followed, the structure of the team meetings and the advantages of taking a team based approach to this type of activity rather than dealing with each vessel by an individual following a silo type approach.
The presentation was originally delivered at the 2019 Hazards Australasia conference.
