Sheneka Joyner
English and Life Skills Teacher
Sheneka Joyner, from the small town of Stoneville, NC, currently resides in Greensboro, NC. She is a dedicated wife and mother of two daughters. Since 2012, Sheneka has been a committed educator, currently teaching English and Life Skills at the Elite High School of the College Preparatory and Leadership Academy. Her passion for goal planning and personal development has driven her to inspire and guide scholars beyond academic achievement, fostering a holistic approach to education. Sheneka earned her Bachelor’s in Liberal Studies with a Social Science concentration and minors in Psychology, Sociology, and African American Studies from UNC-Greensboro. She later received her Master’s in Strategic Leadership from North Central University through Jakes’ Divinity. Sheneka’s dedication to her profession is evident in her innovative teaching methods and her ability to connect with students on a personal level. She believes in empowering young minds to set and achieve their goals, instilling in them the values of perseverance and self-growth. Through her work, Sheneka continues to make an impact on the lives of her students, helping them to navigate their educational journeys and prepare for successful futures.

Education Success Specialist
Jacky Marino is an Education Success Specialist for EVERFI based in Omaha, Nebraska. She grew up on Amelia Island, FL and graduated from Florida State University with a BA in Theater and Communications. Her passion for performing eventually lead her to teaching and she taught 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade in Denver, CO. Outside of work, Jacky tries to keep up with her two young daughters, Nunzi and Nola, and when she gets a free moment-read a nice book in a quiet place.
