Over the past four decades, the electroless nickel (EN) technology has undergone significant formulation optimizations to enhancing performance, deposit quality, and complying with evolving environmental regulations. However, core principles of autocatalytic nickel-phosphorus alloy deposition from a nickel ion-containing electrolyte remains unchanged, presenting challenges in bath life extension and sustainability improvement.

MKS’ Atotech, pioneering sustainable solutions for EN over the 20 years, has developed the groundbreaking EDEN® (ElectroDialysis for Electroless Nickel) technology: This innovative system addresses the limitations of conventional EN processes by integrating advanced electrodialysis technology with process chemistry. EDEN® technology regenerates the electroless nickel bath by selectively removing harmful by-products and maintaining the concentration of all ingredients within an optimal range. The result is a process with potentially unlimited bath life, consistent deposit quality, reduced chemical consumption, and significantly lower environmental impact.

We are pleased to invite you to our upcoming session, where Shakeel Akhtar, Global Product and Business Development Manager for Wear Resistant Coatings will provide an in-depth overview of the EDEN system. The session will cover:

• Principles and limitations of conventional EN plating processes
• Evaluation of various methods for extending EN bath life
• EDEN® technology: Chemistry, process, and equipment integration
• How to achieve consistent deposit quality
• Environmental and economic benefits of the EDEN system

The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session, offering you the opportunity to engage directly with our expert.
Join us to gain valuable insights into the EDEN technology and equip yourself with the latest advancements in electroless nickel plating.
