Although implant-borne restorations have allowed dentists to provide their patients with a successful long term treatment modality for missing teeth, it is a clinical reality that these restorations are not without their complications. This presentation will use a case-based approach to outline the various prosthetic complications associated with implant-borne restorations, their causes, and their management.

Dr Bevan Chong completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Otago in 2005 and his Doctor of Clinical Dentistry (Prosthodontics) at the University of Sydney in 2013. Since completing his specialist training, he has been involved in teaching prosthodontics at graduate and postgraduate levels at the University of Sydney. He currently works in private practice in Melbourne and Geelong, and continues to be involved in prosthodontic education as a clinical supervisor and invited lecturer at the University of Melbourne.
