Dr. Griebeler is originally from Brazil. He moved to the United States more than 14 years ago. He completed his internal medicine and was also chief medical resident at University of Miami. He then completed his fellowship at Mayo Clinic Rochester. He is triple board certified in internal medicine, endocrinology and obesity medicine.
He is currently Assistant Professor of Medicine at Cleveland Clinic, the Director of the Diabesity Center and Obesity Programs at the Endocrinology and Metabolism Institute and also the Subspecialty Director for the Weight Management Enterprise Center at the Cleveland Clinic.
His clinical expertise is on obesity management. His area of research focus on clinical trials for weight management including the use of weight loss medications in combination with shared medical appointments for weight management and also an obesity-centric approach for management of diabetes with the use of anti-obesity medications and also the use of telemedicine for treatment of Obesity.
