David Henson coached high school and middle school math like a contact sport. By emphasizing activities in math, he has leveraged students' natural curiosity into engaging ideas. From falling teddy bears to Minecraft zombies apocalypses, he has built inquiry-based activities designed to keep rigor high through engagement. He has been in education for 27 years. (20 in the classroom and 7 as an instructional coach) He has a Masters of Education in K-12 Mathematics Curriculum and Instruction from University of Texas at Arlington. He currently works as an educational consultant for Education Service Center Region 11 in Texas. He lives in Arlington, TX with his wife and children.
