A talk by Stacey Griffiths. ABOUT THIS TALK:
Throughout this presentation I will share assessment examples for social emotional standards, linked to both the Casel and SHAPE Health standards. Topic/content areas, will include; sexuality education, mental health and addictive substances and behaviours, As I work through these examples, I will provide a step by step process on how my team and I have started creating these learning experiences and how they differ from traditional assessment models, as the skills are very different. I will provide a workshop style portion, where people can go into breakout rooms in attempt to discuss initial ideas in small groups for their settings. In addition I will also talk through the process of where I have got to with delivering and creating content for these topics with the backing of administration, parent community and the students.
