I will also discuss the wellness model that are used in the Pacific and learnings that can be gained through this in relation to professional athletes. This will flow to the similarities and differences between the two.

Deacon is an international educator and coach that has a passion for wellness in education and sport. He began his Educational career after he retired from rugby in Hong Kong and continued it in New Zealand at St Andrews College, Christchurch. He now resides in Singapore assisting players reach their goals through a holistic approach of wellbeing. He has had pervious roles in leadership in high performance teams over the years. Deacon is passionate about players and students’ holistic wellbeing and the benefits of physical and mental wellbeing for a more balanced individual.
Deacon is a keen sportsman, having played Internationally for both Fiji and the Maori All Blacks. He has been a professional athlete for over a decade. Deacon now enjoys the outdoors and enjoys helping players and students in reaching their goals.
