You've seen the fancy, modern visualization tools and heard all the data science buzz words like machine learning and AI. Data is more abundant now than ever before, especially with the transformation of CSDRs into structured FlexFiles. However, the majority of analysts in the cost community are still doing things the more traditional way and are not leveraging the power of modern tools. Many are overwhelmed by the different data sources, platforms and tools available and unsure where to invest their time and resources.
How do we bridge that gap and shift the paradigm? This presentation will examine some practical steps that we can take in order to transform our current processes and start to shift the cost community into the modern data science era. It will share lessons learned from cost community user groups such as the “Data Analytics & Tools User Group”. It will also examine cloud-based solutions such as the Vault, and identify how this technology can allow us to share and collaborate more now than ever before.
