Deputy Director of NGA CIO-T
As deputy director of CIO-T, Ms. Crawford collaborates with NGA's chief information officer and CIO-T director to lead NGA's IT development, governance, policy, acquisitions and operations. She oversees a multi-billion dollar IT portfolio and leads a workforce of approximately 7,000 government, contractor and military personnel across multiple NGA mission locations.
Previously, she was CIO-T's director, Business Operations, where she managed the planning, programming, budgeting and execution of NGA's annual IT investments.
She also served for many years in the Acquisition Contracts Office, culminating in her position as director of NGA Acquisition Contracts, which included serving as the Agency's senior procurement executive (SPE) and head of the contracting activity (HCA). She also served as director, IT Career Service (HD Directorate) and associate deputy chief information officer for IC Information Technology Environment (IC ITE) Transition (OCIO).
Ms. Crawford joined NGA in October 1997 and was appointed to the Defense Intelligence Senior Executive Service in August 2011. Ms. Crawford has served at multiple commands and agencies within the DOD and IC throughout her career.
She received her Bachelor of Science degree in legal studies from the United States Air Force Academy. She received her Master of Science degree in management/information systems from the Florida Institute of Technology. She has a Level III Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) certification in contracting, and she is a member of the Defense Acquisition Corp.
