Building and maintaining safe, sustainable, and equitable transportation networks is top of mind for communities across the US. As the population continues to grow and move, DOTs must evolve transportation systems to meet these changing needs. Having a comprehensive, accurate, and up-to-date geospatial database of transportation features is a critical component of developing smart cities, and AI-based mapping is helping state and local DOTs develop and maintain a system of record for decision-making. This session will showcase how high-precision data enables transportation planners to improve multi-modal networks, comply with ADA regulations, and foster more sustainable communities.
