In October 2021, the European Commission adopted a review of the EU banking rules, collectively known as the Banking Package of 2021. This package contains, amongst other things, implementations of the Basel IV-framework in the form of amendments of the current regulation CRR and current directive CRD. These changes will have a significant impact on both IRB banks and banks using the standardized approach for credit risk.

At this webinar, we will go through the advantages and disadvantages of being IRB compliant considering the new rules. We will also go over the key changes in CRR3 applicable to IRB banks and the timeline of implementation. Finally, we will share our experiences from the application process for IRB approval and recent years' model changes in the light of the new EBA guidelines.

The seminar is aimed at IRB banks and banks that are considering applying for IRB approval. FCG has assisted more than 20 Nordic banks with the development, validation, and application of new IRB models as well as the dialogue with supervisory authorities.
