Dieter Ottmann has worked in the CAD/CAM and precision manufacturing industries for more than 25 years. Trained initially as a mold maker, Dieter learned G-code and manual programming for CNC machines at an early age. This laid the foundation of his career and he has continued providing technology solutions for manufacturing challenges. Dieter's experience includes decades of CAD/CAM experience in a wide range of industries and in several different capacities, including sales, pre-sales, implementation and development. As a group technical specialist, he is a member of the HCL Software team, supporting resellers and customers with CAD/CAM products including SolidWorks CAM, CAMWorks ShopFloor, VoluMill, NestingWorks and tolerance-based machining.
