Hybrid additive manufacturing (AM) and post-print process advances are increasing the already high design freedom and performance achievable with a novel AM/compression molding process—itself a hybrid—to produce structural carbon fiber-reinforced thermoplastic (CFRTP) composite parts. Produced parts are cost competitive, allow for complex geometries and with higher flexibility to accommodate with low- to high-production volumes—becoming a competitive alternative to applications dominated by metals.

    Martin Eichenhofer
    CEO and Co-Founder
Martin Eichenhofer holds a Ph.D. diploma from ETH Zurich. His research in the field of aerospace contains the explorations and the development of a new AM technology for the 3D printing of complex structures made out of continuous fiber-reinforced plastics (e.g. CFRP). In 2018, together with Giovanni Cavolina and Chester Houwink, Martin founded 9T Labs, where he is the CEO.
