Founded in 1978, the British School of Amsterdam is an independent co-educational non-profit school providing world-class teaching and learning for children from 3 to 18. Based in the south of Amsterdam, the school is organised into three sections: Early Years (3-6 years), Juniors (6-11 years) and Seniors (11-18 years) each with its own Head and team of staff.

Nathalie Edghill
Nathalie Edghill has worked as the Admissions Manager at The British School of Amsterdam for 15 years. Nathalie joined the School in 2003, working first in Learning Support then in Years 1 and 2 before moving into Admissions in 2007. Since then the School has more than doubled in size. Nathalie also has two children born in the Netherlands and attending Dutch Primary and Senior School giving her a good understanding of both the Dutch and British education systems.

Vice Principal of the British School of Amsterdam
Mr. Stuart May has been at The British School of Amsterdam since September 2009, before this he was a headteacher in London, and has been teaching for over 30 years with experience across the primary age range, including 20 years in leadership roles.

He is really proud of the British School of Amsterdam, and the staff who are committed to making our pupil’s time with us as full and as happy as possible. Amsterdam is a great place to live and work, and he aims to offer the best elements of a British education in an international setting, combined with a fun and energetic attitude to learning.
