We are so excited to be hosting a Summertime Hand Lettering workshop with The Modern Calligraphy Co where you can learn how to create your own 'faux' calligraphy like this! You don't need anything fancy, just paper and pencils or pens you already have at home. You'll be amazed at how you can achieve the look of calligraphy without any of the kit.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

This relaxing and informative live lettering class will last an hour and we will show you how to create hand lettering that you can use as a mindful practice, and also to create your own cards, gift tags and artwork.

Modern hand lettering is dynamic and has energy, so our workshop will focus on this rather than getting every letter identical, so you can relax and create your own style.

You will be guided step by step through how to use pens you already have at home to form dynamic modern lettering. You will finish by creating this hand-lettered artwork.

What you need:
• 4 or more pens, and a pencil
• Felt tips, biros, highlighters, metallics and gel pens are all great. If you have calligraphy pens or other art materials such as paints, bring them along and give them a try!
• 5 to 10 sheets of paper: regular copier paper is fine.
• Optional but desirable: print out the pdf worksheets that you will receive when you purchase your ticket.
