Program Director, Trillium Technologies
Dr Purcell is Program Director at Trillium Technologies Australia, where
he builds public-private research partnerships to tackle the biggest
challenges of our time. Trillium works with diverse partners, that include
NASA, ESA and Australian Space Agency, to apply AI and space data
to bushfires, flooding, climate change, ocean health and space science.
His current favourite project is to build an AI-driven shark species
detector in collaboration with NSW Department of Primary Industries,
for deployment on NSW beaches this summer.

Before his current role, Dr Purcell spent 18 years in the academic
world, most recently as a Lecturer in Radio Astronomy at Macquarie
University. His research focused on the physics of the interstellar
medium, and he led the data-processing teams of several large
astronomical surveys of star-formation and cosmic magnetism.

Country Manager- Enterprise, Australia/NZ, NVIDIA
With 20 years in the Supercomputing industry, Sudarshan has a
technical foundation starting as a System Engineer at the Victorian
Partnership for Advanced Computing in Melbourne and progressed to
Team Leadership, Project Management and Business Development
roles. Sudarshan was the Country Manager for Mellanox Technologies
for 8 years prior to being acquired by NVIDIA and is an expert in High
Performance Computing (HPC), Cloud and AI
infrastructure. Sudarshan graduated from the Melbourne University
and holds Bachelors in Mechatronics & Computer Science and Masters
in Business & IT.

Vice President, Systems Engineering- CTO APAC, NetApp
Matt Hurford is the VP, Systems Engineering Director and CTO for
NetApp in Asia Pacific and Japan. Matt has been instrumental in local
product management and the development of utility commercial models
for enterprise accounts.

With over 20 years of experience in the IT industry, Matt has a broad
range of experience, including virtualisation, data analytics and hybrid
cloud solutions.

Matt is focused on Big Data and in particular the value that data
analytics can bring to an organisation. He holds a degree in science
and has a passion for ecology.

Senior Business Development Manager, Analytics and Artificial Intelligence, Fujitsu EMEIA
Alexander Kaffenberger is responsible for business development and
ecosystem building in innovative technology areas, such as
combinatorial optimization with the Digital Annealer.

Since 1995, Alexander has worked in business, sales and IT
departments for Nixdorf, Siemens and Fujitsu, where he developed
go-to-market strategies in business development functions and
designed comprehensive offerings using advanced analytics and deep
learning frameworks for the data-driven digital transformation of
customer organizations.
