The focus of this course is to show you how to assess metabolic and environmental imbalances in your clients using some of the most in-depth functional tests for this: namely the Organic Acids test (OATs), Mycotox and GPL-Tox panels.

Nutritional Therapy practitioners often feel overwhelmed when it comes to using functional testing, and in particular the panels which focus on metabolic and environmental impact. Many markers appear indecipherable and practitioners can struggle in joining the dots to get the bigger picture. As a result many practitioners end up not using these tests for fear that they won’t be able to interpret them accurately.

The aim of this course is to demystify these tests by walking you through all three panels in careful detail so that you walk away feeling confident in your ability to start using them in your practice.

The course will also draw upon various case study presentations to give you a solid practical understanding of how to interpret and translate findings into clinical recommendations.

The course will be delivered online via presentations and case study examples with online chat discussion. You will be provided with essential information, practical tips and take-home resources.

By the end of the recording you will be able to:

• have a solid understanding of all three panels and feel confident in using them in your clinical practice.
• have a better ability to quickly interpret results and use them to inform your clinical recommendations.
• have a good understanding of individual markers whilst at the same time have the ability to step back and assess the bigger picture.

About the presenters:

Giulietta Durante, Registered Nutritional Therapist (mBANT CNHC)

Giulietta has been running a busy nutrition practice for over ten years. She specialises in women’s health and in conditions like endometriosis, PCOS and fibroids. Her main reason for focusing on women’s health stemmed from a frustration at the lack of options offered to her by her own doctors when trying to deal with her own hormonal challenges.

Early on in her practice Giulietta realised that functional testing was key to developing personalised programmes so that her clients could achieve long lasting and sustainable positive changes in their health. As a result her clinic quickly flourished as many clients began to experience improvements in their health after many years of struggling with chronic conditions.

In the past few years Giulietta has become passionate about teaching about the menstrual cycle and she has created a number of online programmes to educate and inspire others to learn about this very important topic.

She cares deeply about providing accessible information about hormone health and is very active on social media (she is renowned for her fun but educational reels on Instagram).

She is also the co-host of The FemmePowered Podcast, a show about hormone health, cyclical living ands what it means to be a woman today.
