Quantifying biotherapeutics in biological matrices plays a critical role in the drug discovery and development process. Ligand binding assays often lack the sensitivity to detect low-concentration analytes, particularly with limited sample supply. Scientists in bioanalytical laboratories routinely use liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MSMS) to complement traditional ligand binding assays.
In this webinar sponsored by SCIEX, Lei Xiong will discuss how SCIEX’s Triple Quad™ 7500 LC-MS/MS System improves assay sensitivity for in-matrix quantification of various types of biotherapeutics, including monoclonal antibodies, cyclic peptides, and oligonucleotides.
Topics to be covered
• The impact of sensitivity gain in quantification
• Technology innovations for biopharma quantification workflows
Presenter
Lei Xiong, PhD
Biopharma application manager, North America, SCIEX
Lei Xiong received her PhD in analytical chemistry from the University of California, Riverside in 2011. In the same year, she joined SCIEX as an Application Scientist to support LC-MS demonstration and workflow development. Xiong led SCIEX’s global application for peptide quantitation in 2015 and became the senior manager of the SCIEX Advanced Workflow Development & Method Factory in 2017. In the following year, Xiong joined the SCIEX biopharma business unit to manage global technical marketing in the biopharma quantification area, and in 2020, she stepped into the North America biopharma application manager role as a leader in product and customer success.
